The Designhub Classic Browline Hip Hop Frames modernize the browline frame — originally a 1950s American eyewear classic — through a hip hop lens, scaling up the proportions, intensifying the material contrasts, and incorporating gold detailing that transforms a mid-century icon into a street-luxury statement piece. The upper browline element is a thick 6mm strip of gloss black acetate that forms the dominant visual element of the frame front, extending the full 148mm frame width with a bold architectural mass above the eyes. The lower rim and lens holding structure is a gold-plated zinc alloy wire that contrasts sharply with the black acetate brow — the classic browline two-material combination elevated with premium gold plating. The lenses are 52mm × 40mm polycarbonate in G-15 green tint — the green-grey lens that was the standard for hip hop and jazz aesthetics through multiple musical eras — providing category 2 UV400 sun protection.
