The Designhub Drippy Oval Micro Shades are a micro-frame fashion piece — lenses sized significantly smaller than the eye itself, sitting low on the nose with the eye visible above the lens — that became one of the most photographed and polarizing eyewear trends to emerge from hip hop and festival culture in the late 2010s. The micro-frame aesthetic deliberately rejects the functional logic of sun protection in favor of a purely decorative, confrontational fashion statement. The oval lenses are 38mm × 22mm — approximately one-third the area of a standard lens — providing a small jewel-like aperture of tinted glass perched on the nose. The frame is thin 1.2mm stainless steel wire in yellow gold plate, forming two perfectly symmetrical ovals with a flat saddle bridge. The lenses are polycarbonate in a vivid pink-gold mirror — a rose-tinted mirror that reads as pink in soft light and warm gold in bright light. UV400 coating applied to the mirror surface. The nose pads are integrated into the bridge rather than adjustable — the fixed position produces the characteristic low-nose wearing position of micro-frame styles. Temple: 140mm.
